Supporting Our Taiohi: School Fees Information

We’re proud to be a part of the Government’s Donation Scheme, which means that
Tai Wānanga does not have any compulsory school fees. Our focus is always on
removing barriers and ensuring every taiohi has the best opportunity to thrive.

The Kai Levy (Food Subsidy)

To help keep our students nourished and focused, we provide breakfast and lunch
for all taiohi. We ask whānau to contribute to this through our Kai Levy, which
subsidises the cost of these daily meals.

• This levy is $150 per taiohi each term.
• We offer flexible payment options—you can pay in instalments throughout the term or settle the full amount by the end of the term.

Activity Costs (Sports & Trips)

For optional activities like sports and school trips, the cost will vary.
The organisers of each activity calculate the total expense and divide it
evenly among the participating taiohi. You will always be informed of the
exact amount and due date well in advance of the activity.
